Purchasing Agent/Order Entry - Dealer

We are now seeking a Purchasing Agent/Order Entry, for our Miami Gardens Headquarters location.  This is a position with availability for training, professional growth, and career advancement.

Requirements:

• 5 years’ experience in purchasing and order entry

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite a must

• Experience with AS400, Core Business Systems a Plus

• Office Furniture Experience a plus

• Must maintain positive relationships with over 60 manufacturers

• Serve as a liaison between the manufacturer and sales

• Process purchase orders from order entry to invoicing

• Ability to escalate complex issues after trying to resolve independently

• Answer questions, such as order status, pricing, and changes to orders

• Ability to work well with others; Must interact professionally with colleagues

• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

• Must possess advance problem-solving and time management skills

• Willing and able to learn and adapt to new technology

Job Duties:

• Order & Data entry (accuracy a must)

• Appropriately respond to up to 200 emails daily

• Keep orders, acknowledgements and other projects organized

• Process purchase orders to multiple manufacturers

• Manage logistics to track and receive orders into the system

• Approve and process manufacturer invoices to submit to accounting

• Acknowledge orders in the system and process changes/cancellations

Sales Assistant - Dealer
Job Type : Full Time

JC White, Florida’s largest Haworth furniture dealership, seeks a Sales Assistant for our Miramar Headquarters.  The person selected for this role will provide direct support to a Sr. Salesperson.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with experienced office furniture salespeople to process their orders

• Revise quotations & convert them into orders

• Coordinate and follow-up on order processing work-flow

• Office Management & Customer Service

• Maintain files and office organizational systems, office calendar

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years’ experience with medium or small business, preferably in sales and office administration

• A strong interest in design and interiors aesthetics

• Highly motivated, self-starter with a can-do attitude

• Experience in the office furniture and/or design industry is a plus

• Bilingual – English & Spanish is a plus

Senior Designer - Dealer

At JC White, our team utilizes their extensive furniture product knowledge to design, order and install projects for corporate, education and healthcare environments.  We enjoy collaborating with our clients and A&D firms to develop innovative and creative solutions for their spaces and employees.  We are a woman-owned and locally operated company with over 40 years in business in South Florida.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing design services to clients including space planning, typical development, 3D renderings, and presentations.  You will collaborate with dealership sales, project management, customer service and installation teams to create successful and effective design solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with dealership sales and clients to determine project scope and product selections that meet each client’s unique needs

• Develop space plans, typicals, 3D renderings

• Create client presentation documents

• Attend client meetings and present design ideas and solutions

• Conduct product research with vendors and request product quotations

• Complete detailed product specifications and check accuracy against floor plans

• Apply discounting and additional costs to create budgets and quotes

• Fabric and finish research and selection

• Perform field measurements and product inventory

• Validate furniture plans against architectural, construction and electrical drawings

• Provide floor core locations and dimensions related to furniture placement

• Create detailed installation drawing package

• Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environment

• Participate in ongoing learning for products, software, technology

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from accredited 4-year university

• 4+ years’ experience

• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, CET Designer, ProjectMatrix, Microsoft Office

• Understanding of extensive furniture line offerings, including workstations, walls, seating, and freestanding products

• Knowledge of Haworth product a plus

• Ability to plan, organize and complete work effectively and efficiently

• Outstanding graphic presentation skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organizational skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities

Furniture Installer
Job Type : Full Time

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to proficiently read and write English

• Ability to interpret a floor plan

• Ability to read a tape measure

• Ability to use hand tools and small power tools

• Good hand-eye coordination

• Ability to use a full range of body motion for 3 to 6 hours, including lifting up to 100 pounds, with assistance

Responsibilities:
Furniture Lifting, Moving and Installing

• Load, unload, unbox, assemble and disassemble a variety of office furniture at customer sites individually and as a team

• Continuous heavy lifting of furniture and boxes

• Able to achieve installation assembly certification from major furniture manufacturers

• Assist with receiving product in the warehouse

• Operate an electric pallet jack and forklift

Driving:

• Able to drive a 24’ box truck (Commercial Driver License not required)

• Maintain a good driving record

• Maintain a valid driver’s license

• Pass a criminal background check

Customer Service:

• Interact professionally with customers and all JC White employees

• Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and professional appearance

• Address, report and document issues encountered while at the customers’ site

• Missing or damaged furniture

• Request for work outside the scope of the project

Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator
Job Type : Full Time

Responsibilities:
Receiving, Storage and Reloading:

• Ensures all product is handled in professional manner, minimizing damage or potential damage by others

• Is responsible for accurate product pulls for all shipments out of warehouse, ensuring that product is protected and vehicles are properly packed

• If appropriate to the dealership, securely loads product into trucks in delivery or installation sequence; ensures proper equipment and tools are on trucks per work order/dispatching documentation

Warehouse Organization:

• Maintains warehouse in clean, neat and highly organized manner, including all stored 

product, supplies, equipment, parts, vehicles, etc. 

• Ensures security of warehouse at all times, including establishment of security procedures

and instructions for warehouse crew and use by installation field crew

• Ensures that physical condition of warehouse is adequate, including roof, doors, utilities,

sprinklers, fire extinguishers, etc. 

• Ensures that hazardous materials are properly stored and secure

Vehicles/Equipment/Supplies:

• Monitors vehicle use and is responsible for maintenance records for each vehicle

• Controls and maintain company equipment in working order

Requirements:

• Warehouse Workers must be at least 18 years old

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation 

• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Ability to work assigned schedule 

• Strong communication skills
